First Gig
What do you mean “Get your band to the next level?” I mean, get out of the garage or hoping that your friend will get you a gig at the local bar! Take initiative and get your band moving!
.
“First Gig” is a great place to start on Band Rush. Start small if the budget is nearly non-existent. Here is a breakdown of what you should know:
- People don’t really tread on Myspace anymore and who knows when either Facebook or Twitter will start to fizzle out just like Myspace did. Where is the best place to send traffic? YourOwnBandName.com, that’s where. You can measure where your traffic is coming from, how many hits per day, what seems to work and what doesn’t.

Not only that, you can have “name@bandname.com”. How legit does that look rather than starwarskid321@aol.com? - The more blog posts you have, the better chances of being found through Googling rather than depending on the single-page Myspace design.
- Worried you can’t stream your music like Myspace? Don’t. That’s simple for us to take care of for you.
- With our First Gig suggestion plan, you’re looking at less than $80 right now.
So where do I start? With the different website packages. Read them over and see what best fits your budget vs. what your band really needs.
.
Another low cost piece is Band Cards (business cards) just so you can hand them out at events, stack them up at venues, have people promote your band, etc. Check out our Band Card prices in our Print section.
.
After you check these two out and you realize you still have more potential, upgrade from the First Gig to the Opening Act!
